BRIGHTER EVERY DAY

Today's Tip
Today when you are listening to or reading the news, pay
attention to how topics are introduced. The headline
and first comments will be most memorable to your
brain (called "framing the issue") and will affect your
attitude about the rest. Notice the first impression
you get of the issue or topic (positive or negative?).
Notice whether the "facts" that follow support the
framing. WHY? To be an astute, 4.0
learner, you must be able to recognize the biases in
what you read and hear. Advertisers, politicians and
others all compete for your time. So, attempts to
influence you will only become more common
because information is the main source of power
today.
